Fort Worth’s Next Big Development is Not Just a Concept Anymore.
We have hit many milestones since starting this project – 446 days ago, to be exact.
We are now sitting at roughly 70% completion, and if you have driven down Henderson St. lately, you’ll see that for yourself!
Here’s a recap to catch you up to speed on what we have done during Q3 + Q4
The Harden:
The windows arrived on-site, and installation began in October.
We celebrated the topping out of The Harden building, signaling the end of the structural phase. With all five stories completed, the framing of the floors is currently in progress.
Roofing construction will also continue throughout this month as we work towards completing the top of the building.
Final inspections are underway for the units, with drywall installation set to begin soon as the process moves toward completion.
Exterior work is also starting, with black coating being applied in the courtyard area and brick laying underway. Meanwhile, construction crews are currently installing windows and sheetrock.
The Public Market:
Work has commenced on the exterior of the building, with masonry teams focusing on repairing the aged stone facade and power washing the structure to restore its original appearance.
Interior walls are being thoroughly re-sealed, and efforts are underway to waterproof the basement, ensuring the building remains protected from future moisture issues and is structurally sound for years to come.
In October, we pressure-washed the entire interior of the Public Market, uncovering beautiful historic features and original paint colors that had been hidden in some spaces of the building.
Working closely with the Historic Commission, we are meticulously replicating tile patterns to repair any damaged sections and maintain the Market’s timeless charm.
As of November 13th, we have begun restoring the stunning windows throughout the building. By keeping the entire process on-site, we’re able to preserve their authenticity and original craftsmanship, ensuring that each window is revitalized with care and respect for its history.
What’s to come?
We are on target to begin pre-leasing in early 2025, aiming for February or early March for The Harden. As of early November, we are in conversation with some very exciting plans for the inside of The Public Market—ones that we think the community will be thrilled about!
